Amazon Prime Video has revealed that the release date for the upcoming series “The Better Sister” is now official. Based on Alafair Burke’s 2019 novel of the same name, this gripping drama will star Emmy-nominated actresses Jessica Biel as Candy and Elizabeth Banks as Modern Family’s Nicky, portraying estranged sisters Chloe and Nicky respectively.
This series chronicles the events that push two sisters apart and eventually bring them closer together. Chloe, a successful media executive, enjoys a beautiful life with her lawyer husband Adam, teenage son Ethan, and other family members. Meanwhile, her sister Nicky struggles financially and battles addiction. However, when Adam is viciously killed, the main suspect shakes the family to its core, prompting Chloe and Nicky to reconnect and unravel their intricate family background in search of answers about his death.

The movie titled “The Better Sister” is set to debut on May 29, 2025, only on Amazon Prime Video. In addition to this, the talented cast includes Corey Stoll portraying Adam Macintosh, Kim Dickens as Detective Nancy Guidry, Maxwell Acee Donovan as Ethan Macintosh, Bobby Naderi playing Detective Matt Bowen, Gabriel Sloyer as Jake Rodriguez, Gloria Reuben as Michelle Sanders, Matthew Modine in the role of Bill Braddock, and Lorraine Toussaint as Catherine Lancaster.
The series in question is often characterized as an engaging thriller brimming with unexpected plot developments.
