In an interview with 24News, the producer Gokulam Gopalan disclosed that the budget for L2: Empuraan amounts to approximately Rs 180 crores. Gokulam Gopalan went on to explain that the film’s content, rather than its budget, is what ultimately decides its selection. He referred to producing the Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial as a “divine mandate” and expressed admiration for his creative vision. Furthermore, he acknowledged the significant impact of Mohanlal and Antony Perumbavoor on the project. Lastly, he guaranteed a seamless release of the film in various regions, under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies.
