In a recent chat about his latest book, ex-editor of Vanity Fair Graydon Carter shared some insights about Meghan Markle‘s demeanor during her 2017 magazine cover feature. This seasoned journalist mentioned that her response to the interview left him somewhat taken aback, leading him to comment on her unique approach. In 2017, Graydon Carter looked back at his encounter with Meghan Markle, whom he interviewed for Vanity Fair’s cover. At that time, Carter admitted, “Jane Sarkin, who arranged our covers, walked in and suggested, ‘We should feature Meghan Markle on the cover.’ I replied, ‘I have no clue who she is.’ She explained, ‘She’s from ‘Suits.’ I responded, ‘I’m not familiar with that show, why should we do a story about her?’ Jane then said, ‘Because she’s going to marry Prince Harry.'” (as reported by Page Six)

Carter asserted that Markle told him, ‘Pardon me, but is this solely focused on Prince Harry? I believed we were discussing my charities and philanthropy.’ In response to her statements, the former Vanity Fair editor quipped, ‘It seems she’s somewhat off track when it comes to facts and the real world.’

Apart from his views on Meghan Markle, Graydon Carter expressed some thoughts about Prince Harry’s role within the royal family as well. He stated, “I believe she would feel deep sorrow to see her son torn away from his family in such a way, particularly his brother, but also his father. It’s always tragic when something comes between siblings; it’s disastrous for any family.
