In the captivating open-world role-playing game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll discover an abundance of intriguing storylines linked to numerous places and personalities during your adventure as Henry from Skalitz. This journey is filled with wonder and excitement!

In this game’s intricate plot, certain characters and locales become available for a specific time frame, sandwiched between key moments in the main narrative.

One mission requires exploring Trosky Castle, guided by a key figure called Ulrich, who serves as a crucial personality in the storyline.

Is it accurate that demons are hiding subtly within the castle’s walls? Follow this guide as you embark on your mission to vanquish the Demons of Trosky in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Starting The Quest

Previously, our protagonists found themselves in a precarious situation as Sir Hans of Capon was moments away from execution, having been unfairly accused by Lord Ulrich of Trosky Castle due to a chain of unlucky incidents.

Henry ended up working as a forced laborer for an uncertain duration, but managed to buy some extra time before facing execution, fortunately arriving at that moment was Otto von Bergow who halted the chaos, enabling Henry and Hans to share their message with him at last.

Despite questionable relations with Chamberlain Ulrich, if you choose to remain in the Trosky region, there’s an opportunity for you to listen to some peculiar problems that are causing distress within the castle.

To embark on this journey, make sure you’ve finished Main Quest 6: For Whom the Bell Tolls prior, so that you can engage in conversation with Chamberlain Ulrich.

To successfully accomplish this task, you’ll have to act swiftly as it needs to be done prior to wrapping up Main Quest 8: Necessary Evil. It’s crucial that you acquire unrestricted access to Trosky Castle for the completion of the quest. Importantly, a door within the Maiden tower will remain sealed off following this stage, so make sure to take care of it before then.

When conversing with Ulrich, inquire if there’s a way you could lend a hand around Trosky castle. However, be prepared that he may share his concerns about potential supernatural entities, or haunted demons, residing in certain parts of the castle.

Should you choose to help him, he’ll grant you exclusive entry to numerous spots within the Trosky citadel and instruct you to converse with several individuals living in the castle who might possess additional information regarding these affairs.

In this situation, Ulrich presents you with two options: Holy Water or Magic Water, which you can select as your weapon for confronting the assumed demons. Regardless of your choice, the final result of this mission remains unchanged.

The choice of who to address initially lies completely with you. As per our guidelines, we’ll start by introducing you to the cook named Manyeta.

Crone’s Side Devils

In the eastern section of the castle’s kitchen, Manyeta often expresses a sense of being haunted, claiming it seems like an unseen entity is secretly tampering with her spices and possibly contaminating her soups.

She tells you to pour your water for banishing demons into every fireplace located within the hearths of the Crone’s wing of the castle.

To locate the five fireplaces, start by ascending the stairs situated near the bathhouse and make your way into the kitchen area.

Or simply:

Navigate to the five fireplaces by climbing the staircase next to the bathhouse and entering the kitchen.

On the right side of the stove, you’ll find the initial flame. You can interact with it, and then Henry will place the water in front of it to create a protective steam shield, just as directed.

Ascending the staircase that leads past the kitchen, you’ll find a door to the dining room on the upper level (second floor). The second fireplace in this room can be found nestled between the windows on its left-hand side.

To retrace your steps, exit the same door you came in, climb up the following three sets of stairs inside the structure. Upon reaching a landing with additional stairs ahead, enter the Scribe’s room on that level. As you step in, the third fireplace will be positioned along the farthest wall to your right side.

Climbing up three more sets of staircases from here, you’ll discover an additional dining area and the fourth fireplace located outside.

At the highest point of this castle wing, you’ll discover both the bedroom and the last of the five fireplaces located here.

Maiden’s Side Devils

Throughout the day, Bertha might move around a bit, yet her quest icon will always track her, whether she’s in the castle’s kitchen located in the southwest or taking a break close to the blacksmith’s home.

If you bring up the rumors about supernatural activity, she’ll tell you that she has witnessed and heard proof of their presence. This includes strange noises like claws scraping on the rooftop and burned markings discovered inside the house.

Now, I’d like to assign you a similar set of directions for preparing infused water at different fireplaces that are located on the maiden’s side of the castle.

To begin with, I suggest stepping through the lower door and moving towards the kitchen on the other side. Over there, you’ll encounter a cozy fireplace, nestled snugly next to the cooktop on your right-hand side.

After that, head up to the level above to locate the storage room. Climb the staircase leading you to a second fireplace situated just above the storage area.

In some cases, the fireplaces may not be active, yet they can still be approached and used to pour water without first lighting the hearth.

Just outside the previous room, there is another room where the third fireplace can be found.

Up another two flights of stairs is a long room with a fourth fireplace.

On the opposite side of the third fireplace, you’ll find another room housing the last and fifth fireplace.

Alternatively, Across from the third fireplace, you’ll discover another room that accommodates the fifth and final fireplace.

The Blacksmiths Devils

Osina the Blacksmith can be found in various places near the castle, such as forging at the smithy or enjoying a game of dice in the castle’s courtyard.

Inform him that the Chamberlain has dispatched you to tackle the demon issue, and he’ll instruct you to explore the shadowy corners of the castle, since he himself finds it too terrifying to hunt for these malevolent spirits.

As a keen adventurer, I guide you towards the western guardhouse near the combat arena. Interestingly enough, this seemingly ominous structure serves as a humble lavatory beneath. To advance in our quest, focus your gaze on the positions of the toilet openings for further investigation.

Make your way back to Osina, and afterward, he’ll advise you to explore the tower located on the Maiden’s part of the castle. Ascend to the floor just below the highest level, but alas, it appears another restroom is what you’ve found instead.

Regardless of the fact that it’s evident by now that the Blacksmith is playing tricks on Henry, go back to him one more time. This time, he’ll guide you towards the Tower located on the Crone’s side of the castle, where you will discover the final restroom.

Have a last conversation with the blacksmith to verify if it was all a joke played on you from the beginning.

Instead of remaining clueless about the complex shenanigans that have led you dashing through Trosky Castle, converse with Chamberlain Ulrich to inform him that you’ve assisted everyone on his specified list.

You can either share your feelings about the situation with the steward, or choose to remain silent and be grateful for having overcome the paranormal danger instead.
