In its initial week of release, the artist’s recent studio creation garnered a total of 298,000 units, equivalent to an album. This tally includes:
– Streaming Equivalent Album Units (384 million on-demand streams)
– Physical Album Sales (14,500 copies)
– Track Equivalent Album Units (500)
As of 2025, this album holds the title for the most significant debut week for a rap album this year. It trails slightly behind The Weeknd’s “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which was released in February. Notably, this project marks Carti’s second No.1 album, following “Whole Lotta Red,” and his third top 10 effort, joining “Die Lit.” MUSIC
In other words, the artist’s latest work has had an impressive start in 2025, making it one of the most successful debut weeks for a rap album. It ranks second only to The Weeknd’s “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” and adds another No.1 album and top 10 effort to Carti’s discography, following “Whole Lotta Red” and “Die Lit.
This week, the group LE SSERAFIM enters the top 10 at position 9, launching their 5th Mini Album “HOT” with a total of 45,500 combined album units.
In other areas of the chart, Lady Gaga slides to second place, with Kendrick Lamar, Drake collaborating with PARTYNEXTDOOR, and SZA following closely behind in third, fourth, and fifth positions respectively. Completing the lower half of this week’s top 10 are Sabrina Carpenter at sixth, Tate McRae at seventh, Bad Bunny at eighth, and Morgan Wallen at ninth.
