Pre-orders are now open for Commandos: Origins! This means gamers can secure a nice reduction in price on PC and modern gaming consoles.
Starting March 20, 2025, the pre-orders for Commandos: Origins have begun, offering PC gamers a 10% reduction on any version they choose to pre-order. For those using Xbox Series X/S, a 10% discount applies to the Standard Edition, and the Deluxe Edition has been reduced by 15%.

The Premium Version comes with six Commando character-inspired skins (from Commandos 2), a 3D blueprint for sculpting a Green Beret statue, an electronic calendar, and a collection of 15 orchestral songs that make up the original soundtrack.
If you’re just joining us, Commandos: Origins is a reboot of the classic Commandos series, which hasn’t seen a new installment since 2006. Unlike its predecessor that was played in first-person view, this game returns to the popular top-down tactical style that fans of the original loved. While previous games have been remastered in high definition, Origins seems to be going back to the basics.
In my gaming world, Origins rolls out with six daring operatives, several of whom are old hats from Commandos 2: Men of Courage. I’m Jack “the Green Beret” O’Hara, Thomas “the Sapper” Hancock, Francis T. “the Sniper” Woolridge, Samuel “the Driver” Brooklyn – you get the picture. There’s also James “the Marine” Blackwood and Rene “the Spy” Duchamp. Longtime fans will spot that James has swapped his old role as the Diver for a new one, while Sidney Perkins no longer takes the wheel.
In essence, Commandos: Origins is where the popular team you know originates. The narrative unfolds over 10 campaign missions, set in diverse landscapes ranging from the Arctic to the African desert. During Steam Next Fest demo hands-on, we found ourselves infiltrating a coastal island location. Moreover, the game offers two-player cooperation, which can be enjoyed through online multiplayer or splitscreen mode.
Pre-orders are now being accepted, and we’re nearly there! Commandos: Origins is set to arrive for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 on April 9, 2025. The retail version will hit selected regions on May 22, while digital versions for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will follow later in the year.
