As a passionate fan, I can’t help but share my excitement over the latest trailer that starts with an intriguing advertisement for “Miss Meat,” an in-universe fast-food joint. The commercial is filled with clever food-related puns that are, well, let’s just say they’re not for the faint-hearted! But just when you think it’s all fun and games, a serious tone sets in as a news broadcast interrupts the scene to discuss a hostage situation unfolding right at “Miss Meat.” Quite the twist, isn’t it?

Next, we get a closer view of the Toxic Avenger character, who strides into Miss Meat’s establishment and encounters one of the armed individuals. Wielding a mop, the Toxic Avenger swiftly dislodges half of the man’s jaw, offering a glimpse into the intense, unrated violence that awaits in the upcoming film.

The reboot of The Toxic Avenger will hit cinemas on August 29, 2025, following an announcement by Cineverse earlier this year that they had reached a deal with Lionsgate for its release. Notably, Cineverse is responsible for distributing the Terrifier series as well. Earlier reports suggested that the film was experiencing difficulties in securing a distributor due to its graphic violence.

2021 saw the initial production of the latest movie, which premiered as the inaugural film at Fantastic Fest in 2023. It later graced numerous other film festivals that year. The film represents a modern take on the classic 1984 movie with the same title, directed by Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman, and produced by Troma Entertainment.
