Lately, I (as a fan) found myself expressing my feelings during an Instagram Live session about Jess Hilarious, who took issue with her co-hosts from The Breakfast Club. It seems that while she was on maternity leave, they handled her temporary replacement, Loren LoRosa, in a manner that didn’t sit well with her. Furthermore, she voiced her displeasure towards her colleagues for not offering her support in response to the comments made by comedian Corey Holcomb.
What did Jess Hilarious say about Breakfast Club co-hosts?
In a recent Instagram Live chat, comedian Jess Hilarious voiced her dissatisfaction with some of the co-hosts from The Breakfast Club, without explicitly mentioning Charlamagne Tha God or DJ Envy. She expressed that she felt unsupported when encountering online criticism and also asserted that important decisions were made during her maternity leave without her involvement, particularly concerning her substitute host, Loren LoRosa.
Upon coming back to The Breakfast Club, she voiced her annoyance, explaining that she wasn’t aware of LoRosa being part of the crew. Moreover, she responded to comedian Corey Holcomb’s jabs about her replacement, implying that the whole situation was poorly managed. What upset her most was the lack of support from the show, as no one stood up for her when she was criticized online. Hilarious stated, “We’re supposed to work together, but nobody defends me during online attacks. I’ve kept quiet for a while now, but I feel used.
Initially, Hilarious was uncomfortable with Loren LoRosa’s part in the show, especially when LoRosa assumed one of her segments. However, she eventually understood that her discomfort stemmed more from how things were managed, rather than LoRosa herself. During a live Instagram session, she expressed, “It’s not even you I have issues with,” she admitted. Furthermore, Hilarious felt the show portrayed her as a “villain” when she raised concerns about her role upon her return from maternity leave.
In a humorous manner, Hilarious referenced Angela Yee, the previous host of The Breakfast Club who parted ways in 2022. He suggested that Yee encountered numerous difficulties during her tenure and deserves more recognition for managing them effectively. He expressed his amazement by saying, “There’s a reason that lady wanted to leave that show… I don’t know how she handled that for 13 years.” (as reported by HotNewHipHop)
Despite expressing some frustration, Jess Hilarious made it clear that she’s still a member of The Breakfast Club team and hasn’t been dismissed from the show.
