Amazon’s MGM Studios have officially announced that the second season of “House of David” will air on Prime Video, their latest biblical drama series. The initial episodes are currently being broadcasted, with the sixth one titled “Giants Awakened,” set to release this coming Thursday, March 20. In its first 17 days since launch, the show has amassed an impressive viewership of 22 million viewers. Currently, it ranks among the top 10 new series debuts in the US to date.

We are eager to share more of this story with our audience. We’re thrilled about continuing this adventure with Wonder Project as we broaden our collection to include faith-based series.
What did the series creators say about the House of David Season 2 renewal?
Visionary filmmakers Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn are again taking on the roles of directors, writers, and executive producers for House of the David Season 2. The leading actor, Michael Iskander, will reprise his role in the title, along with several other cast members returning from the first season. These include Ali Suliman as King Saul, Ayelet Zurer as Queen Ahinoam, Stephen Lang as Samuel, Indy Lewis as Mychal, Yali Topol Margalith as Mirab, Ethan Kai as Jonathan, Sam Otto as Eshbaal, Oded Fehr as Abner, Louis Ferreira as Jesse, and more.

The series titled “House of David” was conceptualized by Erwin. This production is a collaborative effort between Wonder Project, Amazon MGM Studios, Nomadic Pictures, Argonauts, Kingdom Story Company, and Lionsgate Television. Additionally, the project is overseen by executive producers Justin Rosenblatt, Trey Callaway, Michael Frislev, Chad Oakes, Ethan Reiff & Cyrus Voris, and Jonathan Walker.
The tale recounts the journey of biblical character David, who eventually emerges as the highly respected and admired king of Israel. In season 2, we’ll witness the consequences of David’s battle against Goliath and his subsequent rise to power. Amidst palace intrigues, family rivalry, and blossoming love, David further embraces his destiny, discovering the true essence of great leadership.
