That’s a wrap on Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters premiered on Apple TV+ in November 2023. The Monsterverse series was then renewed for a second season in April 2024, with production then having kicked off several months later.

The official Apple TV account has announced that production on Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 has come to a close. They posted a behind-the-scenes photo showing Ren Watabe, Takehiro Hira, Kiersey Clemons, and Anna Sawai in character, standing in front of a heap of debris.

“Pay no attention to the destruction in the background,” the post reads. “That’s a wrap on #Monarch Season 2.”

Plot details for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 remain under wraps at this time. The premiere date for the series’ new season has not yet been set.

It is known that Amber Midthunder has joined the cast of the new season and will portray a character named Isabel. The series’ cast further includes Sawai as Randa, Clemons as May, Watabe as Kentaro, Hira as Hiroshi Randa, Wyatt and Kurt Russell as Lee Shall, and more.

The description of the series reads, “Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later when Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows.
