New Mortal Kombat 2 Photos Show First Look at Shao Kahn and Kitana

The first official Mortal Kombat 2 photos are out, previewing the new movie and giving fans their first look at some of the new characters set to appear.

Who is in the new Mortal Kombat 2 photos?

The new photos come courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, and give fans their first look at Johnny Cage (played by Karl Urban) outside of the poster for the movie. In the image, Cage can be seen preparing to fight someone offscreen, while Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee), Jax (Mechad Brooks), and Liu Kang (Ludi Lin) look on behind him.

The preview from EW also reveal the first look at two new characters to the movie, the infamous Shao Kahn (played by Martyn Ford) and Kitana, who will be played by Adeline Rudolph in the movie.

Alongside Urban, Ford, and Rudolph, Mortal Kombat 2 will also feature the return of Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han and Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion, and Max Huang as Kung Lao.

Joining them are several new characters in the form of Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Damon Herriman as Netherrealm demon Quan Chi, Desmond Chiam as Edenian King Jerrod, and Ana Thu Nguyen as Queen Sindel.
