G-SHOCK Dives Into the Great Blue With Oasis Series

Casio G-SHOCK has introduced a series of designs inspired by oases, featuring vibrant shades of blue-green on their popular models GA-2100 and GA-110. This new collection, called the Oasis, continues the legacy of design that G-SHOCK is known for. The lineup includes the GA-2100AS-2A, GA-2100AS-5A, GA-110AS-2A and GA-110AS-5A, all available in both blue and white color schemes.

Initially launched in 2010, the GA-110 boasted an oversized industrial design with bold elements reflecting the brand’s ethos of durability, presenting a larger-than-usual analog watch scale and enhancing visual depth. The more understated GA-2100 retains this robust feel in a less pronounced fashion. As the successor to the legendary DW-5000C, it boasts a sleek, octagonal casing and a dial with three-dimensional detailing. Moreover, it includes a carbon core guard structure, combining the case, bezel, and strap with bio-based resin, resulting in a lightweight and robust material perfect for both marine and land sports activities.

The collection is thematically influenced by the magical scenery of daytime and nighttime oases, taking inspiration from desert landscapes, vibrant water bodies, and tranquil natural surroundings. This theme is reflected in the dial, hour markers, and indices, which showcase a gentle blue-green gradient, enhancing the watch face with a soothing cool-toned depth.

Key specifications are consistent throughout the collection: water resistance for 20 bars, shock resistance, and a countdown timer. Specific models like the GA-2100AS-5A and GA-2100AS-2A come equipped with five daily alarms, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a Super Illuminator LED, and world time in 30 different zones. The GA-110AS-2A and GA-110AS-5A offer an advanced 1/1000-second stopwatch and LED as added features.
