Pravinkoodu Shappu – A Darkly Humorous Crime Drama
In this movie, we find ourselves delving into a black comedy crime thriller set within a toddy shop. When rain forced the shop to shut down, eleven patrons opted to stay, spending the night drinking and gambling with cards. However, upon waking up the next day, the owner of the toddy shop, Komban Babu, was discovered hanging in the middle of the establishment.
During the investigation by the police and questioning of the eleven suspects, the film centers around revealing the actual offender and understanding the motive behind the victim’s mysterious death.

In this film, I’m delighted to highlight my personal favorites, Basil Joseph and Soubin Shahir, who grace the lead roles. Joining them is an exceptional group of talents, such as Chemban Vinod Jose, Chandini Sreedharan, Shivajith, Shabareesh Varma, and several other remarkable actors in pivotal positions.
The movie was created by director Anwar Rasheed, through his production company Anwar Rasheed Entertainment. Debut director Sreeraj Sreenivasan penned and helmed the project for the first time, while Vishnu Vijay handled the music composition.
In this film production, Shyju Khalid is responsible for the stunning visuals, while Shafique Mohamed Ali oversees the editing process. The movie garnered a mix of opinions from critics, with accolades given for the acting, cinematography, editing, and musical score, but receiving critique regarding its script.
