Henry Is Now A Lot More Powerful And Better Looking Thanks To Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Patch 1.2

Summary

  • Patch 1.2 for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 includes fixes, balances, and a new barber vendor.
  • Balanced improvements include changes to armor durability, prices, lockpicking, and combat values.
  • The update also enhances animations, improves the blacksmithing process, revamps crime mechanics, and reworks NPC reactions.

Similar to many open-world RPGs, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 often encounters its fair share of bugs and malfunctions. Most of these issues are minor glitches that can sometimes be amusing or endearing, but the game does have an occasional tendency to crash, usually caused by NPC behavior or lost items. Considering this, along with some cool transitions for Henry, Warhorse Studios has launched a large 68GB update.

As a fervent admirer, I must say that while the bulk of the updates primarily focuses on tweaks and adjustments across the board, what truly excites me is the introduction of a barber in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg! Now, my character, Henry, can sport an array of hairstyles, including a dashing mullet that’s sure to win over the hearts of wenches and miller’s daughters. It appears that the changes and balances have made medieval life significantly more manageable.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Patch 1.2 Makes The Game A Bit Easier

Regarding the adjustments and updates, Warhorse has rolled out an extensive patch not covering all changes in the game. Various lighting and character animation issues have been addressed throughout the game, but particularly during the alchemy and blacksmithing minigames. Additionally, this update includes several animation enhancements to make these interactive sequences feel more realistic.

The core modifications in this update involve enhancements to a variety of aspects such as armor durability, stealth gear, pickpocketing challenges, the cost and weight of numerous items, better loot from specific chests, easier lockpicking in early game zones, arrow damage, the fees charged by skill instructors, and polearm effectiveness, among other adjustments.

The Blacksmithing procedure has undergone a general adjustment, as well as a more transparent indication of the metal’s temperature, featuring additional blacksmith recipes, proper arrangement of semi-finished goods, and enhanced interaction with blacksmiths. It’s hoped that these changes haven’t disrupted the simple smithing process that the game subtly guides you through.

In this update, there’s been a significant transformation in the way combat handles damage and defense. Additionally, the visual aspects of melee and ranged weapon animations have been enhanced. However, the most notable alteration is that you can now draw your weapons without any hindrance from taking damage.

Regarding crime, NPCs won’t be able to detect your stealth from long distances anymore, along with several modifications in their behavior and responses. The new reactions to NPC beds sleeping have been adjusted, but it remains to be seen how they will respond now. Additionally, tutorials have been implemented to explain the meaning of the rabbit icons.
