Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Pawan Kalyan’s period drama gets postponed; film to release on THIS day

The first part of the movie “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” one of Pawan Kalyan’s eagerly awaited films, has been delayed. This film is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. The delays are due to the lead actor’s political engagements. On the occasion of Holi, the producers revealed that the release date, initially set for March 28, has been changed.

2019 saw film producer A.M. Rathnam reaching out to Pawan Kalyan with an offer for a movie helmed by director Krish Jagarlamudi. However, at that point, Kalyan was deeply engrossed in political matters. It wasn’t until a preliminary screen test in early 2020 that he agreed to the project.

For those unfamiliar, this movie takes place during the 17th century with a focus on the Mughal and Qutb Shahi dynasties. As of March 2021, it has been titled “Hari Hara Veera Mallu”.

Originally intended as a standalone movie, the creators eventually opted to divide it into two releases. In 2024, they officially announced that Hari Hara Veera Mallu would be released in two parts: Part 1—Sword vs Spirit. Notably, Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani is responsible for the film’s music, while Gnana Shekar V. S. is managing cinematography. Lastly, Ben Lock oversees the visual effects (VFX) department.

In a shift of roles, Arjun Rampal was swapped out for Bobby Deol as Aurangzeb, and in turn, Nargis Fakhri assumed the position previously held by Roshanara. Meanwhile, Nidhhi Agerwal steps into the role of the female lead, Panchami.
