During Sankranthi this year, the film “Sankranthiki Vasthunam,” starring Venkatesh Daggubati, created a stir at the box office upon its cinema release. Recently, it broke more records following its television premiere.
According to Gulte’s report, the film has achieved a TV Rating Point (TRP) of 15.92, placing it as the second most-watched movie on Zee Telugu in the past five years. This puts the film just below Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab, which holds the highest TRP of 19.12.
The film was simultaneously aired on television and streaming platforms on the same day, causing quite a stir since it first came out.
Discussing the film titled “Sankranthiki Vasthunam”, it’s an action-comedy featuring Venkatesh Daggubati as the main character. The plot revolves around the story of YD Raju, a retired IPS officer, who peacefully lives with his wife in a rural setting.
In a surprising turn of events, when a prominent kidnapping incident arises, his former girlfriend – who happens to be the lead investigator – enlists his help. As they collaborate on the case, the man’s wife, questioning her husband’s fidelity, opts to join forces with them. The ensuing narrative promises an exhilarating journey packed with thrilling action and humorous moments.
Besides Venkatesh, the film showcases Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary as main characters. It boasts an array of significant roles by Srinivasa Reddy, Sai Kumar, Upendra Limaye, Raghu Babu, Naresh, and numerous others.
