Spider-Man 4 Cast Adds Stranger Things Star as Possible X-Men Character

Sadie Sink has joined the cast of Spider-Man 4.

A new Spider-Man film featuring Tom Holland reprising his role as Peter Parker is now being developed by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. This upcoming movie is scheduled for release in July 2026, so fans can expect it to hit theaters after Avengers: Doomsday but before Avengers: Secret Wars.

By the set deadline, it’s confirmed that Sink is joining the cast of Spider-Man 4. As of now, her character in the film hasn’t been officially disclosed. However, there’s been a persistent rumor for several months suggesting that Marvel might be considering her for the role of the renowned X-Men character, Jean Grey.

According to an article by Deadline, there’s a strong possibility that Sink will take on the role of either Jean Grey from the X-Men or another popular redheaded character in the Spider-Man universe. Notably, this decision comes after the ending of the latest Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Parker decided to use Doctor Strange’s spell to conceal his identity globally.

Natalie Dyer is primarily recognized for portraying Max Mayfield in the popular Netflix series Stranger Things. Additionally, she has appeared in the second and third installments of Fear Street, and her acting credits extend to films such as The Glass Castle (2017), Eli (2019), The Whale (2022), and others.

What else do we know about Spider-Man 4?

Currently, specifics about the storyline for Spider-Man 4 are kept secret. However, the film is helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who was behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 2021 release, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

As a devoted admirer, I’m excited to share that I, along with Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige, will be part of the production team for Spider-Man 4. With Tom Holland wrapping up his shoot for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey first, we can anticipate the start of our film’s production afterwards.

Spider-Man 4 will be released in United States theaters on July 31, 2026.
