Massive Update on MJF After Loss to Hangman Page at AEW Revolution

Previously crowned AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF experienced defeat at the hands of Hangman Page during the recent AEW Revolution event. This action-packed show was held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Earlier this year, their competition intensified significantly following several altercations, culminating in MJF attacking Hangman Page’s mentor, Christopher Daniels. In a daring action, MJF also erased the AEW logo tattoo he had initially gotten to signify his return in May 2024, symbolizing a change in his allegiance or attitude.

He shared that he decided to remove his tattoo as fans had started supporting Hangman Page instead of him, and their previous backing had turned negative. Last week during AEW Dynamite, MJF made an attempt to ignite Page, but officials prevented the act before it was carried out.

With tensions running high, Page cautioned MJF before they met in their much-anticipated face-off at AEW Revolution. Each contender brought their best to the match, culminating in MJF executing an impactful Tombstone Piledriver on a chair.

In spite of being forcefully pushed onto the chair, Page didn’t back down. Instead, he retaliated and ultimately won with a Buckshot Lariat. Since then, an important development concerning the ex-AEW World Heavyweight Champion’s condition has come to light.

It was anticipated that MJF would overcome Hangman Page and resume his place in the AEW World Title chase. However, his loss resulted in him falling further down the pecking order, while Swerve Strickland, who defeated Ricochet, clinched the position as top contender for Jon Moxley’s world title.

Since Strickland has taken over as the likely contender, it appears that MJF won’t be receiving a title shot for a while. Yet, the anticipation surrounding his upcoming Dynamite appearance is high. Will he unveil his future plans, or will another competitor emerge to engage in his next confrontation?
