The eighth episode of Invincible’s Season 3, recently made available as a sneak peek, not only hints at the upcoming showdown between Mark and Conquest but also provides insights into Conquest’s mental state prior to his battle with Mark. In the short clip, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, known for his role in The Walking Dead, lends his voice to Conquest as he delivers a chilling soliloquy, highlighting the unique aspects that distinguish him from other Viltrumites.
The scene starts with Conquest towering over a seemingly vanquished Mark in a colossal crater. In a hypothetical scenario where Invincible’s Season 2 adversary, Anissa, was present, Conquest suggests she would be trying to persuade Mark to align with the Viltrumite cause. However, Conquest expresses no desire to follow such a path; he makes it clear that he has no intention of rescuing Mark or promoting the grandeur of the Viltrum empire.
Instead, the rugged war veteran declares, “I’ve chosen to be here because it brings me joy.
