Who Is Thaedus on Invincible & Who Plays Him? Voice Actor Revealed

Fans can’t wait to find out more about the character of Thaedus in Invincible, especially the person behind his voice. Debuting in Season 2, Thaedus is a significant figure, recognized for betraying the Viltrumite Empire. By creating an organization, he has impeded their expansion significantly. Given his mysterious motivations and multifaceted plans, many viewers are excited to explore his backstory and learn who portrays him on screen.

Who is Thaedus, and who voices him in Invincible?

Thaedus serves as a significant character and the initial Viltrumite, known for betraying the empire and halting its growth. The role of this character was voiced by Peter Cullen.

Thaedus originated from the world Viltrum and found their people’s harsh, merciless actions unjust. As a symbolic act against his home planet, Thaedus carried out the assassination of Emperor Argall. Subsequently, he established the Coalition of Planets, an organization that aimed to oppose the expansionist tendencies of Viltrumites.

As a gamer, I’m part of this diverse alliance hailing from numerous virtual worlds and unique races, all gearing up for battle against the formidable Viltrum. My character, Thaedus, sports a false white beard to hide his authentic backstory. On top of that, he boasts powers and skills akin to Invincible, the half-human, half-Viltrumite hero (Mark Grayson), making him a formidable force in our upcoming fight.

Thaedus boasts an array of capabilities such as Viltrumite physiology, near-invincibility, the ability to fly, superior lung capacity and senses, a rapid healing factor, Toolock Pull, increased speed, and endurance. Although he wields formidable powers for combating threats, it’s essential to note that he has certain vulnerabilities — he is susceptible to high-pitched sounds and extreme forces.

Known for his exceptional voice acting skills, Cullen has been the voice behind many iconic characters in films and TV shows since the 1970s. He gained widespread recognition for voicing Optimus Prime in the 1980s Transformers animated series, Monterey Jack in Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, and Eeyore in House of Mouse. In a more recent role, he reprised his iconic character, Optimus Prime, on an episode of The Masked Singer.
