The Bench – The Cozy Game For Grumpy Park Philosophers

Deep within you, something is awakening – something that yearns to break free. The Old-Timer Spirit. Are there folks having a good time here? I hear children giggling, perhaps a gathering? Not on our turf. It’s time to rally our troops and reclaim the battlefield. Gather your feathery friends, give your cane a fresh shine, and let’s take over the park benches across the globe.

Gameplay: Bread, Benches, And Death Stares

In The Bench, we slip into the well-worn yet surprisingly spry shoes of an elderly individual savoring his day – or at least attempting to. However, this isn’t just about leisurely dozing off with a newspaper and a walking stick. Instead, we have a goal! Our objective is to locate hidden items while simultaneously managing a rather persistent group of pigeons who seem convinced that our purpose in life is to feed them.

Instead of merely providing sustenance, let’s consider utilizing them. Turning them into thieves, delivery personnel, or agents of pure chaos – with the right guidance and a bit of planning, these seemingly harmless bird companions could transform into a highly skilled, mischievous task force.

Beyond that, there’s a walking cane. To clarify, it isn’t recommended for use as a weapon – however, knowing it could serve that purpose if necessary, offers a certain sense of security or reassurance, doesn’t it?

Puzzles, Mini-Games, And Park Bench Strategy

The game, The Bench, isn’t merely about promoting elderly mischief. Instead, it presents us with intriguing puzzles that lead to the exploration of new areas. The visually appealing, vibrant maps are brimming with minute details and hidden secrets, some of which can even be manipulated. For those who haven’t given up on their cognitive abilities entirely, there are delightful mini-games, such as brain-stimulating newspaper puzzles that help Grandpa stay alert and focused during gameplay.

Twitch Integration: Your Viewers, Your Saboteurs

As a streamer, nothing beats the thrill when Twitch integration kicks in, allowing viewers to meddle with my game on the fly. They can conjure up pigeons, raccoons, or even NPCs, sometimes to aid me, other times to wreak havoc. Each appearance of these digital pranksters is stamped with their Twitch username, making it crystal clear who’s responsible for turning my serene gaming world into a chaotic battlefield.
