Netflix has unveiled the complete trailer for the last chapter of the highly anticipated fifth season of the hit psychological thriller drama “You”, starring Penn Badgley, who previously appeared in Gossip Girl. The series will finally come back to our screens on April 24, 2025.
In the climactic fifth season, Joe Goldberg settles back in New York for a blissful future… but his idyllic existence is jeopardized by specters from his past and his own sinister impulses, as suggested by the official synopsis.

What happens in the You Season 5 trailer?
The video showcases Joe Goldberg’s comeback to New York City, following his marriage to wealthy Kate Lockwood which has elevated his status. Yet, his seemingly ideal life is at risk when he develops feelings for a new potential obsession. A sneak peek in the trailer suggests that Joe will struggle with self-control, as past transgressions resurface to torment him.
The series was originally created by Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti. For Season 5, Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo have taken over as showrunners. This season will introduce Madeline Brewer (from ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’), who plays Bronte, along with Anna Camp (known from ‘Pitch Perfect’), portraying twin sisters Reagan and Maddie Lockwood, Griffin Matthews (‘She-Hulk’) as Teddy Lockwood, Natasha Behnam (‘The Girls on the Bus’) as Dominique, Pete Ploszek (from ‘Parks & Recreation’ and ‘Shameless’) as Harrison, Tom Francis (from ‘Sunset Boulevard’) as Clayton, and b (from ‘We Crashed’) as Phoenix.
This show revolves around Joe Goldberg, a man who is both dangerous and delusional when it comes to his romantic interests, often developing unhealthy obsession towards the women he falls for. The production companies involved in creating this series are Berlanti Productions, Man Sewing Dinosaur, Alloy Entertainment, in partnership with Warner Horizon Scripted Television. Foley, Lo, Berlanti, Gamble, Sarah Schechter, Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo, and Marcos Siega serve as executive producers for this project.
