Earlier, there was an announcement about the upcoming film “Jailer 2,” starring Rajinikanth, accompanied by a teaser. Now, it’s been confirmed that the movie is currently in production, as the filmmakers shared this news through a post on their social media platforms.
On their Instagram account, the creators wrote, “The chase for Muthuvel Pandian is on! Filming for Jailer 2 has commenced today.” This announcement was accompanied by a fresh poster showcasing Rajinikanth, who appears drenched in blood and intense-looking.

Initially, a 4-minute trailer for the movie showcased director Nelson and composer Anirudh Ravichander exchanging their familiar banter. As the sneak peek continued, it grew increasingly intense, culminating in Rajinikanth’s grand entrance towards the end with an impactful scene.
It has been verified that Rajinikanth will reprise his renowned role as Muthuvel Pandian in the upcoming film; however, the producers have not disclosed the remaining cast members as of now.

Speaking about Rajinikanth’s recent roles, he last appeared in the film “Vettaiyan,” directed by TJ Gnanavel. This action-packed police drama cast him as an IPS officer with expertise in handling encounter situations, earning him the moniker “Vettaiyan,” or The Hunter.
In a turn of unfortunate events, his career takes a drastic downturn as he inadvertently ends the life of someone mistakenly thought to be a criminal. Now, it falls upon him to unmask the real masterminds behind this horrendous act and bring about justice.
In addition to Rajinikanth, a multitude of talented performers such as Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan graced the screen in this movie.
Additionally, you’ll find the actor appearing in the movie “Coolie,” helmed by director Lokesh Kanagaraj. This high-energy production is expected to showcase the star in a darker role, which represents Lokesh’s initial project with him.
