123Telugu reports that it’s expected that the movie “Vishwambhara” will be launched on Chiranjeevi’s birthday, which falls on August 22nd. Originally, the creators planned for a release in May, but it now seems doubtful due to ongoing VFX work. The team responsible for “Avatar” is currently enhancing the visual effects following online criticism of the film’s earlier graphics quality. However, an official announcement regarding the release date has yet to be made.
On August 22, 2023, the announcement was made that Vishwambhara would be known as Mega 156. The official launch of this film took place on October 23 with a traditional pooja ceremony. This production is brought to you by UV Creations and, while there were initial rumors suggesting it was a sequel to Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, director Mallidi Vassishta clarified that it actually features an entirely new storyline.
Filming commenced at Annapurna Studios, where unique sets crafted by A. S. Prakash were assembled. Approximately 70% of the movie’s narrative is underscored by visual effects to emphasize its spiritual motifs. The early footage was captured in Maredumilli, and Chiranjeevi joined the production in February 2024.
In the main role for the film, Trisha Krishnan was selected. The action sequences and songs, expertly designed by Shobhi Master and Vijay Binni, were recorded in Hyderabad and Nalgonda. A significant fight scene was captured at Ramoji Film City, utilizing actual sand to create authentic mud effects for a more realistic feel.
It’s said that another significant scene involved a massive 54-foot statue of Hanuman located in Lingampally. Furthermore, in the year 2024, Chiranjeevi reportedly finished an extended 26-day action sequence which was his longest to date.

Vishwambhara is a movie that has been both directed and written by Mallidi Vassishta. It’s produced by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati, and Vikram Reddy. The main character in this film is played by Chiranjeevi, with Trisha Krishnan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ashika Ranganath, Isha Chawla, Surbhi Puranik, and Kunal Kapoor also appearing in significant roles.
In this film production, Chota K. Naidu assumes the role of cinematographer, while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Santhosh Kamireddy are in charge of editing duties. However, it’s worth noting that the music is the work of Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani.
