The Thicc Villain of The First Descendant

In just a short while, you can expect the second episode of Season 2 for “The First Descendant”! This upcoming chapter from Nexon promises an amiable new ally, and it’s none other than Serena who will make her grand entrance. Although fans of TFD have already grown fond of Serena, there’s another fresh character from “The First Descendant” series that Nexon has given us a sneak peek of!

Nexon briefly unmasks new The First Descendant character

According to discussions on The First Descendant subreddit, during the live broadcast of Season 2 Episode 2, a brief image was displayed, revealing the identity of the new villain as a masked blonde woman who was seen fighting on top of Serena in the scene. In the two provided screenshots, we see this enigmatic masked woman engaged in combat with Serena, only for her to be subsequently unmasked later in the sequence.

It appears that Gley’s daughter, Dia, could potentially be the new antagonist in the storyline. Nexon hinted at this during the livestream, stating that Gley discovers a clue indicating his daughter might be alive. Furthermore, Serena is expected to assist Gley in his search for Dia. In the S2E2 trailer, there’s a scene where the villain attempts to harm Serena, and in response, Gley shouts “Dia”.

The reason Dia might be joining forces with the Vulgus could be traced back to their lore, where it’s known that Gley and her daughter were kidnapped by the Vulgus. During this event, Gley developed “Arche abilities,” transforming her into a Descendant. It’s plausible that Dia experienced a similar awakening in captivity.

It’s possible that Dia is teaming up with the Vulgus due to some form of mind control or influence. As the story progresses in Season 2, Episode 2, we may uncover the true motives behind this alliance.

Previously, Nexon hinted that Dia might join the playable characters in The First Descendant, but they haven’t specified when yet. It’s a possibility she could debut as a new character in Season 3, though details are scarce at this point. What we do know is that support for PS4 and Xbox One consoles will no longer be provided by Nexon.

In response to Nexon giving a sneak peek at their new villain, fans on Reddit have commented that she is “very curvy” and expressed admiration for her face. Fans have also noted the similarity between her and Hailey, and there’s been plenty of enthusiasm about the character’s revealing costume.

In the meantime, the second season of The First Descendant airs on March 13th, while season 3 is set to premiere on June 19th.
