Her daughter recently addressed these rumors during a press conference, and the singer herself has now come forward to set the record straight. According to a PTI report, Kalpana explained that she unintentionally overdosed on sleeping pills due to persistent sleep problems.
According to the PTI report, Kalpana Raghavendar denied allegations of a suicide attempt, explaining that the rumors were unfounded. On March 4, she journeyed from Ernakulam to Hyderabad. Due to insomnia, she first took eight sleeping pills. Subsequently, she ingested ten more, causing her to lose consciousness.
Worried due to numerous calls that went unreturned, her spouse took action by contacting the Colony Welfare Association for aid. Upon receiving their assistance, they informed the KPHB Police Station. Consequently, a joint police and association team visited her home. Since she didn’t react, they forcefully entered through the kitchen and discovered her in an unconscious state. They swiftly transported her to the closest hospital for immediate medical care.
After Kalpana woke up, her daughter stepped forward to address the incident. In an interview with the media, she made it clear that her mother had mistakenly taken more sleeping pills than prescribed. She dismissed any talk of suicide, explaining instead that it was a minor overdose brought on by stress. “It was only a slight excess of prescribed medication due to everyday pressures,” she said. “Our family is doing well. My mother will recover in a few days. That’s all I have to say.
According to the information given, it appears that Kalpana and her child had a debate about her schoolwork. The musician proposed they move to Hyderabad, but the daughter was hesitant about relocating, which might have caused some emotional tension. However, Kalpana has since recuperated and wants to assure everyone that there’s nothing to worry about in terms of her wellbeing.
