Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars Runtime Estimates Revealed by Russo Brothers

The Russo Brothers (Joe and Anthony Russo) have provided approximate durations for the upcoming Marvel films titled “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars“.

Following their work on Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019) for Marvel Studios, the Russo brothers are now returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Avengers: Doomsday in 2026 and Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027.

What did the Russo Brothers say about Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars’ runtimes?

When speaking with Collider, Joe and Anthony were inquired about the running times for their upcoming Avengers films. Although they didn’t provide specific durations, they hinted, “If I had to guess, I would say the first one is approximately 2.5 hours, and the second one might be around 3 hours.”

Comparably, the durations of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” are analogous. The former, “Infinity War,” lasted approximately 2 hours and 29 minutes (149 minutes), while the latter, “Endgame,” ran for about 3 hours and 5 minutes (181 minutes).

At the moment, specific storylines for both “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” are being kept a secret.

Last year at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom instead of Tony Stark/Iron Man in the movie Doomsday. Additionally, Pedro Pascal will star as Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It is also expected that Anthony Mackie’s Captain America/Sam Wilson will appear, with further announcements likely to be made soon.

In U.S. movie theaters, “Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026, and it’s brought to you by Marvel Studios. The sequel, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” will hit the screens on May 7, 2027.
