Once more, Johnny Venus, famously recognized as the Olu of EARTHGANG, emerges with a heartfelt new track titled “So Beautiful.” In this piece, he collaborates with another talented artist from the Spillage Village collective, 6lack.
In an unexpected move, this duo alters their typical performance style – John finds himself crooning softly in falsetto, while 6lack offers introspective verses, highlighting their versatility within the diverse Atlanta music scene. The track “So Beautiful” is infused with a warm and intimate vibe, sitting on a lush neo-soul canvas. The Wurlitzer keys add a nostalgic, dreamlike quality, harmoniously accentuating John’s emotional singing. The repeated chorus, “so beautiful,” emphasizes the song’s dreamy, romantic ambiance.
This is Johnny Venus’ first solo project since he signed with Sincethe80s/Epic Records. Alongside this single, he also announced his debut solo album titled “Earth 2 Olu“. He described the album as a personal account of his journey and development. Although the release date for the album is yet to be revealed, Johnny believes that now is the perfect moment to start this new phase in his career.
