RC16: Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor to shoot for Buchi Babu Sana-directed sports drama in key locations of THIS city

Following the moderate and somewhat disappointing theater performance of Game Changer, there’s a lot of anticipation surrounding Ram Charan’s next movie – a sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana. This upcoming film marks his first collaboration with Janhvi Kapoor.

Indeed, it appears the renowned actor has been quite busy filming this venture for some time now. Latest news from The Deccan Chronicle hints that they’ll soon journey to New Delhi to continue an intensive shooting phase for the same project.

It seems the director plans to capture crucial moments of the sports drama at well-known landmarks in Delhi, such as the famous Jama Masjid and the Parliament. The article mentions that they’ve applied for permission to film in these specified locations.

Nevertheless, neither the creators nor the cast have issued any formal statements about it so far.

For those who are not familiar, according to a prior report by Times Now, it has been proposed that the title of the forthcoming sports drama could be “Peddi.” It is said that the creators have found this title fitting because it matches the movie’s overall theme.

Beyond what has already been mentioned, the report also suggested that the film’s backdrop is during a particular period in Uttarandhra, and moreover, the title offers a thematic link to the same timeframe.

However, the official confirmation on the movie’s title is yet to be received. Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Ram Charan has undergone a significant physical makeover for RC16. In various photographs, he appears to embrace a rougher style, sporting a thick beard and long hair.

The film, classified as a sports-themed drama, is rumored to showcase well-known sports such as cricket and wrestling. It’s implied that the character portrayed by RC is skilled in both of these sports.

The famous tune for RC16 was created by the talented musician A.R. Rahman himself. According to reports from 123 Telugu, it’s said that this skilled composer is being paid an impressive amount of approximately 80 million rupees for his work on the soundtrack.
