Update: We’ve had a glimpse of this year’s A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Violet Ore” for a few days now, but fresh images have given us a clearer view of the upcoming sneaker. Although some details were already discussed earlier, we now have definite information that the tongue is a maroon color and bears the A Ma Maniére “A” emblem on the left shoe. On the other hand, the right shoe’s outsole displays an “A” logo at the front. The release date, which was previously announced, is still set for May 14 through Nike SNKRS and selected retailers, with a starting price of $225 USD.

A Ma Maniére is a well-known collaborator in the sneaker world. Last year, their Atlanta store released a three-brand, six-shoe collection called “While You Were Sleeping” in collaboration with Nike and its affiliates to celebrate their 10th anniversary. So far, they show no signs of reducing their pace.

Previews and whispers about the upcoming A Ma Maniére x Jordan Brand sneakers hint at models such as the Air Jordan 3, 4, 5, and 6, with the Air Jordan 5 “Violet Ore” pair being the first to emerge. Two pairs are rumored to release in the early part of the year, and we’ve got a sneak peek at one of them, shown below. The design starts with an upper made of white leather. The heel area showcases Nike Air branding and the number “23” on the lateral side, both displayed in gray. The distinctive “Violet Ore” shade, used by the collaborators often in the past, appears on the midsole and what seems to be a quilted lining. Black can be seen on the laces and the rear part of the midsole, while a semi-transparent outsole finishes off this early glimpse.

Currently, neither A Ma Maniére nor Jordan Brand has shared details about the release of their unique versions of the Air Jordan 5 in the “Violet Ore” colorway.
