Official trailer and plot of Kudumbasthan
In the movie Kudumbasthan, it’s Manikandan who plays the central character, Naveen. This story follows the life of a hardworking man from a middle-class family, who tirelessly works to provide for his loved ones. His responsibilities include rebuilding their home, financing his mother’s spiritual journey across India, and assisting his expectant wife in her pursuit of the UPSC exams. Each day presents new challenges for Naveen.
Yet, surprisingly, Naveen finds himself out of work. To avoid his boastful brother-in-law branding him as a failure, he chooses to conceal his unemployment from his entire family.
The remainder of the movie centers around Naveen maintaining the deception that he’s still employed and managing to fulfill his duties effectively. In the end, he submits to the everyday workings of society.
Cast and Crew of Kudumbasthan
As a lifestyle aficionado, I’d like to highlight my recent discovery: the captivating Tamil film “Kudumbasthan.” In this masterpiece, the talented K. Manikandan takes center stage as the protagonist. Joining him are a stellar cast that includes Guru Somasundaram, R. Sundarrajan, Saanve Megghana, Kudassanad Kanakam, Balaji Sakthivel, Nivedita Rajappan, Saanvika Shree, TSR Srinivasan, Varghese Mathew, and a host of other remarkable actors in pivotal roles.
This movie is directed by Rajeshwar Kalisamy, who collaborated with Prasanna Balachandran on its storyline. The music and background score are created by Vaisagh, while the film’s visual aspects, including cinematography and editing, are managed by Sujith N. Subramaniam and Kannan Balu respectively.
As for Manikandan’s acting career, it’s worth noting that he appeared in the film “Lover,” which was directed by Prabhuram Vyas. This romantic drama was warmly appreciated by critics upon its release.
