The game offers a range of stylish armor sets that transform you into a formidable monster hunter. One such set is the Bone Armor, entirely constructed from bone, fittingly named. This armor collection encompasses five individual pieces, resulting in an appearance remarkably similar to the iconic Predator character, as portrayed in the 2022 film Prey.
Although the Bone Set is quite impressive, it’s not an easy one to assemble. To create this armor set, you’ll need Mystery Bones, a rare crafting material that can be challenging to locate. These elusive Mystery Bones are hidden across the map and can only be found through exploration. If your search isn’t turning up any results, don’t worry – we’re here to assist! Where To Find Mystery Bone?
To recap, your most effective approach in locating the Mystery Bone is by investigating the map and hunting for Bonepiles. Fortunately, you can discover these Bonepiles as soon as you reach the Windward Plains region at the beginning of your journey. Here’s a simple guide to help you find a Bonepile and uncover the Mystery Bone:
1. Navigate your way through the map, focusing on the Windward Plains region.
2. Keep an eye out for any noticeable piles that may be Bonepiles.
3. Once you spot a potential Bonepile, approach it carefully to confirm if it’s indeed the one you are looking for.
4. If it is the Mystery Bone, collect it and continue your adventure!

- Head to Windward Plains 7 and make your way to the southeastern end of this area, east of the Rockburst.
- Drop down the cliff and make your way towards the center of this area. Once you’re close to the center, keep following the path along the cliffs on the left until you see a cut leading above. Take the path, and you will reach a small crevice with Bonepiles and other Mining Outcrops. Loot the Bonepiles by pressing F on PC and Circle/B on consoles for a chance to get the Mystery Bone.
- Take note that the Bonepiles can drop a variety of bones, so explore and loot as many Bonepiles as you can across the Windward Plains. While Windward Plains 7 is just a general location we’ve mentioned, there are plenty of piles to be looted in these plains.
As a gamer, if the Bonepiles aren’t giving me any loot, I’d suggest tackling the Bulaqchi in the Windward Plains instead. This Neopteron creature resembles a bug and is quite hard to overlook due to its vibrant yellow hue. This tiny foe also has a small chance of dropping the elusive Mystery Bone.
