The second episode of Season 2 for “The First Descendant” is set to debut on March 13th, introducing a new playable character named Serena. Additionally, developers Nexon are working on resolving a persistent problem with skins, including those for the upcoming secret agent outfits. As the major update approaches in just a few weeks, the director of “The First Descendant” has revealed additional details about Season 2 Episode 2, even teasing a small spoiler.

On the 26th of February, Director Jooms held a second Discord AMA session to address remaining queries from fans.
In response to questions posed, Jooms gave out a tiny sneak peek about Season 2 Episode 2. Further information will be revealed during the upcoming developer livestream, but Jooms hinted that this episode will introduce several new modules enabling a single attack to strike multiple targets simultaneously.
Additionally, Jooms announced that a “fire rate limit” will be incorporated in the S2E2 update to address the “ghost bullet problem”. According to Jooms, “damage reduction at extremely high firing speeds was an intentional anti-hack measure”, and they are unable to completely eliminate this measure, hence the introduction of a fire rate cap.
As per the director’s statement, “this cap” pertains specifically to high-fire-rate configurations used in extreme scenarios. Further insights on this topic will be shared during the forthcoming developer live broadcast. Moreover, Nexon aims to strengthen their anti-cheat system, ensuring that players utilizing fire rates below this cap won’t suffer any damage reduction as a result.
Joom confirmed that the primary storyline for Season 2, Episode 2 centers around Gley. Moreover, during the discussion, the director hinted at introducing fresh adversaries from Season 2 onwards, extending into Season 3.
According to the director, Nexon intends to consistently add new adversaries, even entire new factions. It’s thought that these opponents should always showcase unique attack strategies. Additionally, Nexon is planning to create new dungeons with a focus shifting away from dungeon mechanics and more towards enhancing combat experiences by introducing new monsters and enemy interactions.
