15 years ago, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, featuring Silambarasan TR and Trisha Krishnan, graced our screens. This movie holds a unique spot in my heart as well as many other fans’, so it’s been a joy to see the lead pair celebrate its 15th anniversary with special video messages!

In a heartfelt manner, main actor Silambarasan TR expressed his deep appreciation to the team behind the movie, acknowledging Gautham Menon, A.R. Rahman, Manoj Paramahamsa, and Trisha for their significant contributions.

In the video, VTV Ganesh, who’s both an actor and co-producer of the film, jokingly inquired Silambarasan about his feelings for Jessie, alluding to a well-known line from their movie. Yet, the actor replied, “My heart doesn’t say ‘Jessie… Jessie,’ anymore, but something different. I will share what it says later on.

Additionally, Trisha Krishnan posted a heartfelt video, thanking the team behind it and sharing that she’s still receiving overwhelming fan affection for the movie.

Jessie hails from a traditionally-minded Christian Malayali household, steeped in traditional values. The movie delves into the story of Karthik and Jessie’s romance and the obstacles they encounter in maintaining their relationship.

The film was produced simultaneously in Telugu under the title “Ye Maaya Chesave,” with Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the main roles. Subsequently, it was adapted for Hindi cinema, titled “Ekk Deewana Tha,” featuring Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson.
