Let me walk you through all the essential details about the Hunter’s Profile in Monster Hunter World, such as how to locate it, available customization features, and much more!
In Monster Hunter Wilds, just like its previous versions, there’s an abundance of opportunities for personalization. Whether it’s through the detailed character building mechanics or the extensive character customization system, you can make your Hunter truly unique compared to others. However, what’s the fun in self-expression if you can’t share it with other players? This is where the Hunter Profile becomes essential.
In Monster Hunter World, the Hunter Profile has taken over the role previously held by the Guild Card. In Monster Hunter Wilds, every action you perform and achievements you unlock are now logged on your Hunter Profile for others to see online. Additionally, your Hunter Profile is tied to your in-game Squad, which could be thought of as your Guild or team.
For those who find adjusting and personalizing their Hunter profile somewhat perplexing, particularly beginners, here’s a simplified guide on the Hunter Profile in Monster Hunter World: A Comprehensive Overview.
How To Access the Hunter Profile in Monster Hunter Wilds
The “Hunter Profile” option is located under the “Info” section in the game’s main menu. Keep in mind that this option will only become available once you’ve started playing the game, either through a Private Lobby or Online Single Player Mode. This tab also houses the “Monster Field Guide”, “Wishlist”, and “Manage Squads” options. You can also access your Hunter Profile from the Squads management screen, but it’s more convenient to reach it directly via the main menu.
If you’ve recently checked your Hunter Profile, you might also find it located under the “Recent” tab. This tab displays the various options you’ve opened in your current session. Your Hunter Profile offers a wide range of personalization choices, such as:
- Edit Nameplate
- Edit Top Page Widgets
- Change Pose
- Change Expression
- Change Camera
- Change Background
- Register Equipment
If you’ve experienced Monster Hunter World, you’ll notice many resemblances between the Hunter Profile and what we call the Gathering Hub. Additionally, certain elements from Iceborne’s personal quarters in Monster Hunter World have been incorporated into the Hunter Profile. For instance, just as you could display your preferred build in your personal quarters in Iceborne, the Hunter Profile enables you to do the same. Furthermore, you can customize your Top Page Widgets within your Hunter Profile to exhibit your favorite monster, total playtime, medals earned, Squads, and more.
How To Customize Hunter Profile
Throughout gameplay, you have the flexibility to personalize your Hunter Profile whenever you wish, excluding during active quests or investigations. Modify and tailor your unique nameplate that appears at the end of a hunt during multiplayer cooperative sessions. Additionally, explore your frequently utilized build configurations within your Hunter Profile, and designate them as your primary choice. Customize the information visible to other players during a Link Party. Furthermore, you can also select a background theme for your Hunter Profile, providing you’ve previously unlocked it in the game. Certain customization elements, such as nameplates, banners, etc., become accessible upon achieving specific milestones.
Among the milestones, you’ll find completing both Low Rank and High Rank quests, slaying a specific number of Large Beasts, and other tasks. Additionally, once the game is launched, you can enhance your Hunter Profile with various customization options available in the planned post-launch cosmetic DLCs. Some of these DLCs are included in the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe Editions of Monster Hunter Wilds.
