The duo of LEGO and Universal Products and Experiences has revealed their new addition to the Jurassic World series – the LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: T-Rex Set. This 3,145-piece construction is a whopping one meter (or more than three feet) in length, making it the largest LEGO Jurassic World set ever constructed.
This meticulously crafted model accurately depicts a T-Rex fossil skeleton. It boasts articulated joints allowing for various poses, a moveable head, an opening jaw, and a tail and arms that can be positioned. To enhance its visual appeal, the model includes a custom stand, informative plaque, and hidden references to the franchise (Easter eggs), such as a LEGO piece tinted amber, reminiscent of the Jurassic Park series.
As a die-hard fan of the iconic 1993 movie, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the set that comes with LEGO Minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant. It’s like stepping right back into the cinematic world I cherish so much. The coffee-table-style instruction manual takes me on a fascinating journey behind the scenes, offering design secrets, memorable moments from the film, and T. Rex facts that are hard to forget. To top it off, the LEGO Builder app lets me zoom in, rotate models in 3D, and keep tabs on my building progress – making the experience even more immersive!
On March 12, the LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: T-Rex set will be accessible early to LEGO Insiders, prior to its official launch on March 15. The cost of this set is $250 USD.
