In a recently released documentary on Paramount+, Ozzy Osbourne shares insights about his persistent health struggles, shedding light on the experiences of this renowned music legend.
This upcoming documentary, named “No Escape From Now,” will stream later in the year, and it’s reported to delve into the challenging obstacles faced by the renowned musician since his fall in 2019, which resulted in injuries.
This documentary is helmed by BAFTA-award-winning director Tania Alexander, capturing events from 2022 up until what Osbourne refers to as his last concert with Black Sabbath, scheduled for July 5, 2025.
What did Ozzy Osbourne say about his health?
For the past six years, I’ve encountered some of the toughest periods in my life. There were moments when I felt my time was running out, as I expressed in a statement (through Variety). However, creating and releasing two albums during this time has been my salvation, preventing me from losing my sanity. My fans have stood by me for so long, and I want to express my gratitude to them and bid them farewell properly. That’s the purpose behind the Villa Park show.
In 2019, Ozzy Osbourne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. This condition has reportedly made it difficult for him to walk, as he mentioned on his SiriusXM radio show. In a different interview with The Sun, Sharon Osbourne, his wife, elaborated on the challenges her husband has faced over the past six years, stating that the disease has primarily affected his legs, but his voice remains strong and clear as ever.
The documentary is expected to highlight Sharon Osbourne, her family, and various musicians such as Tony Iommi (of Black Sabbath), Duff McKagan (from Guns N’ Roses), Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Billy Idol, Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), guitarist Zakk Wylde, producer Andrew Watt and musician friend Billy Morrison. It is likely they will share their thoughts on Osbourne in interviews throughout the documentary.
Sharon Osbourne stated that this movie provides an authentic portrayal of Ozzy’s experiences over the past few years. It highlights the difficulties he has faced, his bravery in confronting several severe health problems such as Parkinson’s, and the current state of his life. The team behind the production is one we trust, and they have been given the liberty to tell the story truthfully. We hope that this tale will inspire those who are grappling with similar challenges as Ozzy.
