Looking towards spring in New York City, and with Lower East Siders eagerly anticipating Awake NY’s Orchard Street gatherings, the Angelo Baque-led label is preparing the way for the upcoming season by revealing its Spring 2025 collection.
In the heart of their collection, Awake NY has teamed up for a second time with the Gil Scott-Heron estate to create a tribute capsule celebrating the enduring legacy of this iconic American poet and musician. The assortment includes a hoodie displaying the album cover art for The Mind of Gil Scott-Heron on its front, while the back features the tracklist from this album. Additionally, there’s a traditional dad hat adorned with song titles from Scott-Heron’s debut 1971 album, Pieces of a Man.

Apart from featuring tracks by Scott-Heron, Awake NY’s Spring 2025 collection also includes the brand’s traditional items such as “Real Tree” camouflage patterns, work jackets, and branded jerseys. To complement these, you will find a variety of logo-embellished hoodies and T-shirts, a striking blue trench coat adorned with symbolic imagery, and more.
Up there, you can see the lookbook showcasing the fresh collaboration between Awake NY and Air Jordan 5. The intriguing “Arctic Pink” style, featuring Awake’s signature “A” symbol on the side, is said to be released on August 29th for a price of $210 USD.
On March 1, 2025, Awake NY’s Spring collection will be released at their New York City flagship store situated at 62 Orchard St. The online launch follows on March 8. Check out the collection in the gallery above for a sneak peek.
