Marvel Studios have shifted their approach towards creating TV shows, and this new method is gradually being unveiled. Earlier, their strategy for both films and series was similar – announcing a lineup of projects and subsequently bringing them to life.
Instead of Marvel announcing each project from the start, they now prefer to develop series in secret, assessing their feasibility as they progress. This means a project might be cancelled or put on hold at any stage during its development.
Three projects, that were never announced, but were widely reported as being in development were Nova, Strange Academy and Terror, Inc. Okay, two of those were widely reported while the latter was new to a lot of people. These have now been paused as the studios priorities have shifted.
These projects might be revisited and restarted in development at a later time. The break could stem from various reasons such as dissatisfaction with the series’ progress, waiting for a specific actor who is not available at the moment, or prioritizing other projects to enhance the overall storyline. During this hiatus, it has been reported that the second seasons for both “Agatha All Along” and “Hawkeye” are being considered.
I’d trade a second season of Agatha All Along for a Nova series any day of the week.
