Currently, The First Descendant isn’t meeting Nexon’s set standards, but this doesn’t imply that the game is being phased out. In fact, the development team has grown in size and is receiving assistance from other studios at present. They have a number of thrilling ideas in store for the future, such as the anticipated release window for The First Descendant’s “first collaboration” with another intellectual property.

In a recent interaction, the developers of The First Descendant held an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Discord. This Q&A event was moderated by both the producer, Lee, and the director, Jooms.
During the AMA session, a user inquired whether Nexon was considering partnerships for character skins with other brands. Producer Lee indicated that such a collaboration is indeed planned for Season 3, which is slated to receive updates during the summer months.

Beyond announcing their “first partnership” for summer and Season 3, Lee additionally mentioned that Nexon plans to establish regular collaborations in the future. However, Nexon has chosen not to disclose which Intellectual Property they’re collaborating with until summer arrives. Lee encourages players to express their preferred collaborations to Nexon as well.
Although the specific crossover hasn’t been determined yet, fans are eagerly anticipating collaborations like Stellar Blade and Nier Automata. It’s also possible that it could be a partnership with another IP from Nexon’s collection, such as Dungeon & Fighter, Blue Archive, or another suitable IP for character skins.
During the warm season, which spans from June through August, there’s a chance our collaboration might take place at the start of Season 3. However, it’s also feasible that it could occur in the middle of the season or at some unpredictable point.
Apart from the collaboration, Lee hinted at multiple proposals for summer-themed outfits as well. So far, it’s unclear what these outfits will look like, but Nexon has suggested in the past that we can expect more swimsuit designs for the summer.
