In the series titled “The Baldwins,” Hilaria Baldwin appears alongside her spouse, actor Alec Baldwin, as well as their children. It was during the first episode of the show that she decided to discuss the accusations regarding her accent, which she claims caused her feelings of sadness and pain.
Hilaria Baldwin expressed that she adores English and Spanish, and when she blends these two languages together, she finds it to be a common occurrence rather than something inauthentic. She went on to mention that the controversy surrounding her language usage has caused her sadness, pain, and even led her to dark places.

However, in December 2020, allegations arose that Hilaria had been pretending to have a Spanish accent and later, cultural appropriation. In response, she explained that she lived part of her life in Massachusetts and part in Spain, and identified herself as culturally adaptable or fluid.
In a recent statement, Hilaria Baldwin announced that she’s raising her children to be bilingual. She explained, “Since we now reside with our immediate family in Spain, I aim to instill in my kids the pride of being able to communicate in more than one language. I believe there’s something truly unique about growing up and speaking two languages.
