Parasakthi: Sivakarthikeyan changes the mode of remuneration for next with Sudha Kongara? Here’s what we know

Currently, Sivakarthikeyan stands out as one of the most rapidly ascending actors in Tamil cinema, consistently grabbing attention, particularly for his impressive body of work. Known for his role in “The Don,” Sivakarthikeyan is now focusing on his upcoming project, “Parasakthi,” which is being directed by Sudha Kongara, the same filmmaker behind “Soorarai Pottru.

In the most recent news, Indiaglitz Tamil is stating that Sivakarthikeyan has switched up his payment structure for an upcoming movie. According to this report, rather than receiving a set wage, Sivakarthikeyan, known as Amaran in some circles, has chosen a profit-sharing agreement. Under this arrangement, he will receive a portion of the film’s earnings following its premiere in theaters.

The profit-sharing model operates similarly to a two-sided coin. When a movie succeeds financially, an artist could potentially receive higher compensation than their typical earnings from a fixed remuneration. On the flip side, if the film underperforms at the box office, the actor might earn significantly less than their standard salary with a fixed contract.

For the first time, Sivakarthikeyan has selected a profit-sharing deal, a decision made by other prominent actors such as Prabhas and Allu Arjun on various occasions. This choice could be interpreted as an expression of his faith in the success of the upcoming period drama film.

Discussing the movie Parasakthi, previously referenced, it is a period drama that boasts a star-studded cast including Sreeleela (making her Tamil film debut), Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, Dev Ramnath, and others, in addition to the actor known for his role as Doctor.

According to what’s been shared, the movie seems to be set in the 1960s and revolves around a college student named M Rajendran, who tragically passed away during protests against the imposition of Hindi. This event occurred in Tamil Nadu back in 1965.

The report goes on to reveal that Sivakarthikeyan is set to portray a college student, with Ravi Mohan taking on the role of the villain. Notably, the movie concludes with Sivakarthikeyan’s character meeting a tragic end, sacrificing his life heroically after being fatally shot in the head.

Parasakthi is being financed by Aakash Baskaran under the Dawn Pictures label, and Arjun Nadesan, in collaboration with Sudha Kongara, has written the movie’s script. Acclaimed cinematographer Ravi K Chandran operates the camera for the film, while Sathish Suriya oversees its editing. GV Prakash Kumar will create the music for the film.

On the professional scene of Sivakarthikeyan, he will soon appear in a movie directed by AR Murgadoss entitled “Madharasi”. Alongside him in this production are Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Vikranth, Biju Menon, and others who are also part of the cast.
