Kia Unveils the PV5 Ahead of 2025 Kia EV Day

Kia unveiled the exterior look for its PV5 Passenger and Freight models, signifying the start of its new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) approach. The mid-sized PV5, previously hinted at CES 2024, is crafted to challenge limitations in space and mobility while emphasizing customization and adaptability.

At the 2025 Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain, we’ll reveal the various versions of the PV5 model, including unique conversion options. This event will offer a comprehensive insight into Kia’s approach towards their PBV business, with more information about vehicle interiors and product lineup to be disclosed in late February.

The PV5 Passenger and Cargo models, designed according to Kia’s “Opposites United” philosophy, boast a forward-looking design. The Passenger model boasts a low beltline and extensive windows for better visibility and an accentuated geometric shape. Its black wheel arch claddings and rocker panels lend it a rugged SUV feel, while its signature lighting and refined accents contribute to its contemporary look. A lift-up tailgate at the rear and a chamfered D-pillar result in a stylish yet practical finish.

The PV5 Cargo model, on the other hand, adopts a more spacious box-like shape. It comes equipped with twin doors at the rear that open to the side for effortless loading and unloading, boosting its practicality especially in commercial applications. Kia refers to the PV5 Cargo as a fresh take on conventional light commercial vehicles, blending contemporary design with heightened usability.

At the 2025 Kia Electric Vehicle (EV) Day, scheduled for February 24, we’ll unveil the complete PV5 series, which includes extra variants and conversion possibilities. The official unmasking of these products will take place on February 27.
