The reboot of “Malcolm in the Middle” is expanding its cast, as per Variety’s report, with Kiana Madeira set to be a part of the upcoming series airing on Disney+.

In the show, Madeira has been cast as Tristan’s character, a captivating and forthright girlfriend who, by common sense, seems to be far beyond Malcolm’s level, as described by Variety. Notably, Madeira is recognized for her roles in Netflix’s Fear Street horror movie trilogy and the Netflix adaptation of the After series.

In a forthcoming revival, we find Malcolm once more joining forces with his family to celebrate Hal and Lois’ 40th wedding anniversary. The synopsis goes: “As Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) and his daughter become entangled in the family’s turmoil, they are compelled to attend the couple’s milestone anniversary party.

In the upcoming reboot, Linwood Boomer will be back in the role of both writer and executive producer, while Bryan Cranston will join him as an executive producer. Directing duties for all four episodes have been assigned to Ken Kwapis, who is also taking on the role of executive producer.

For seven seasons, the cherished sitcom was broadcast on Fox, accumulating a grand total of 151 episodes. The show’s run stretched from 2000 to 2006, and during that time, it featured Christopher Kennedy Masterson, Erik Per Sullivan, Christopher Masterson, and Justin Berfield as its main stars.
