Liv Morgan Addresses the Jade Cargill Backstage Attack Incident

The focus has been on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez as potential culprits in the unsolved attack that left WWE star Jade Cargill injured in a backstage altercation. Back in November, during an episode of WWE SmackDown, an unidentified attacker struck Cargill off-camera, causing her to bleed.

During that period, Cargill was sharing the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Bianca Belair. However, when Cargill was unable to continue, Naomi took her place as Belair’s new tag team companion and eventually won the Women’s Tag Team Championship together.

After Naomi won the championship, there was much talk about if she might have been behind the assault on Cargill. Last Friday on WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis, the show’s manager, gave an important update regarding this matter.

Inside his office, he played the backstage surveillance video of the assault, revealing Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez being absent from the incident site. Though the footage didn’t definitively prove them as attackers, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi continued to suspect Judgment Day members for the crime.

As whispers grew louder, Liv Morgan, poised for the Women’s Elimination Chamber bout, finally spoke up to clarify the gossip swirling around her alleged role in the recent attack.

Liv Morgan clarifies her role in Jade Cargill’s attack

On the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, Liv Morgan spoke about Jade Cargill’s assault and rumors of her participation. While admitting to being there, she firmly stated that she was not responsible for any misconduct.

She expressed, “Throughout Liv Morgan’s history, there has not been a single instance where I didn’t shout and boast about my achievements. How often did I exclaim, ‘I took Rhea’s man’? How often did I exclaim, ‘I retired Becky Lynch’? I believe this is a significant misconception. I believe that beating was completely unnecessary. However, I was present at the event.

Instead of dismissing the accusations as a simple mix-up, Morgan additionally acknowledges her presence at the location in question. Could it be possible that she’s suggesting, in a subtle way, that she might know who the unknown assailant is?
