What is Eric LaRue about?

In the movie, Janice is dealing with the aftermath as her son killed three of his schoolmates. Overwhelmed and moving forward like she’s in a fog, she can’t let go of her anger and disappointment. Her husband has found comfort in a new church, but Janice finds it difficult to find peace through faith, despite her pastor urging her to heal by meeting with the mothers of her son’s victims. As Janice contemplates what such a meeting might accomplish for her and her community, ERIC LARUE invites viewers to observe the ripples of raw emotion that violent actions can create.

Eric LaRue is guided by Shannon in the production of a screenplay penned by Brett Neveu, which was originally his stage play titled by the same name. The movie features Judy Greer as Janice, Alexander Skarsgard as Ron, Alison Pill as Lisa, Tracy Letts as Bill, Paul Sparks as Steve, and Annie Parisse as Stephanie. Declan Baldwin, Jeff Nichols, Meghan Schumacher, R. Wesley Sierk, Joh D. Straley, and Byron Wetzel serve as executive producers, while Sarah Green, Kat Hartman, Jina Panebianco, and Ben Shafer are the producers.
