On Monday, February 17, 2025, Delta Airlines Flight 4819 experienced an unfortunate incident during landing at the Toronto Pearson Airport in Canada. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has reported this event, confirming that it occurred at approximately 2:45 p.m. local time. There were a total of 80 individuals on board, including 76 passengers and 4 crew members.
According to further reports from the outlet, it was confirmed that 18 passengers sustained injuries following the emergency landing of a Delta Airlines plane at Toronto Pearson Airport. Todd Aitken, the fire chief, announced that these injured individuals were taken to nearby hospitals. He also added that another passenger was later transported to a hospital. Moreover, paramedics from the scene reported three severe injuries, including a child, a woman in her 40s, and a man in his 60s who are currently in critical condition.
The flight departing from Minneapolis at 11:47 AM, managed by Endeavor Air, safely landed amidst snowy weather. Nevertheless, Aitken refuted any involvement in the crash, stating that “the runway was clear of moisture and there were no challenging cross-winds.

The CEO of Delta Airlines, Ed Bastian, spoke to NBC News. He conveyed that the entire Delta team around the world is deeply saddened by today’s event at Toronto-Pearson International Airport. Additionally, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) shared an announcement on social media. Their message stated that they are sending a team to examine an aircraft accident at Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport, Ontario. The TSB aims to collect data and evaluate the incident.
