As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share that in 2024, the dynamic duo Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel made their first collaboration official, igniting excitement across the board. Now, it appears that the production team is all set to commence filming this very month, marking an exciting new chapter in the world of cinema.
Based on a recent update from Aakashavaani, the movie starring Jr NTR is planned to start filming on February 20, 2025. The tentatively named NTRNEEL is set to begin production soon, but the report suggests that the actor Devara will join the shoot at a later time.
Currently, it hasn’t been formally announced by the creators whether Tovino Thomas and Rukmini Vasanth will be part of the film starring Jr NTR. Earlier, there were rumors about their involvement, but the final cast list is still under wraps.
The movie titled “NTRNEEL” or “Dragon” is set to hit theaters on January 9, 2026. Known as an action epic, this film started its pre-production phase back in 2024 after a traditional ceremony called muhurat pooja was performed.
In the future, Jr NTR recently starred as the main character in Devara: Part 1. This film, directed by Koratala Siva, was an action-drama where Jr NTR played two distinct roles, as seen in his performance in RRR.
The movie centers on Devara, a leader from a coastal village who earns his living by sailing out to sea with his fellow smugglers. But after seeing the grim truth behind the goods they’re smuggling, he decides to turn against his colleagues. As tensions rise between them and Devara plots ways to outmaneuver his adversaries, his son becomes entangled in the conflict, shaping the heart of the tale.
In the main character, played by Jr NTR, the movie boasts an impressive cast including Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and several others in pivotal roles. At this moment, you can watch it streaming on Netflix.
Furthermore, Jr NTR is next set to appear in a prominent role in War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan.
