The Undertaker Shares What Has Changed in CM Punk Since His WWE Return

As a die-hard wrestling fan, I’m thrilled to recount that WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker, has opened up about the transformation he’s seen in CM Punk since his comeback within the WWE. Over the years, The Undertaker and CM Punk have been embroiled in a rich tapestry of legendary matches, sharing moments that resonate deeply with fans like me.

On November 25, 2023, CM Punk finally came back at the Survivor Series: WarGames event, marking his highly anticipated comeback following his departure from WWE in 2014 due to artistic disagreements and health matters. After a long hiatus of almost a decade, he chose to set aside past problems and make his return.

Nonetheless, CM Punk’s comeback evoked a variety of feelings due to his past strained relationships within the WWE backstage. Throughout his initial WWE tenure, he frequently had disagreements with management and other wrestlers.

Ever since coming back to WWE, CM Punk has demonstrated a changed demeanor behind the scenes. Nowadays, he’s been taking on the role of mentor for up-and-coming talent and making amends with WWE stars like Triple H and The Miz, whom he previously had disagreements with. He’s been working diligently to rebuild strained relationships from his past.

Yet, as per The Undertaker‘s remarks, the CM Punk we see now isn’t the same one from a decade back. Lately, the WWE Hall of Famer has commended Punk, pointing out noticeable transformations in the Straight Edge Superstar since his comeback.

The Undertaker reflects on CM Punk’s growth in WWE: “It’s like a different guy”

On Busted Open Radio alongside Bully Ray, The Undertaker was questioned about CM Punk’s development. Bully Ray opined that Punk has grown up significantly, prompting The Undertaker to share his observations on whether he has witnessed such growth in Punk.

He expressed that he’s indeed matured, and it’s quite enjoyable interacting with him. However, when he left the first time, he was rather distant, often aloof. There were instances where he seemed argumentative, and he’s one of those individuals who is ready to defend every position, not always constructively.

He went on to say, “However, since he returned, I’ve found our interactions to be quite distinct. He seems more open and charming, almost unrecognizable. It’s as if a burden has been alleviated from him. I’m not privy to his personal hardships or details, and that isn’t my concern.

The Undertaker added that due to CM Punk’s past experiences, he now has a chance to engage with the present roster. If Punk decides to coach others, it would offer a beneficial learning experience for emerging wrestlers.
