The coming month of February is geared up to present a series of breezy, romantic Tamil films on the big screen. Specifically, two highly anticipated releases – “Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam” and “Dragon” – are scheduled for release on the same date, which is February 21, 2025.
It appears that the audiences, particularly younger ones, face a challenging decision as they consider the two forthcoming movies, which happen to belong to the same genre – coming-of-age romantic dramas.
Speaking about Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), this movie is helmed by no one less than Dhanush, who is stepping into his third directorial project. Under his production house Wunderbar Films, the lead actor of Raayan penned the story himself for this film.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that NEEK’s star-studded cast is brimming with fresh talents such as Priya Prakash Varrier, Pavish, Mathew Thomas, Anikha Surendran, Venkatesh Menon, and many more. This exciting news was unveiled in the chilly December of 2023, and production kicked off the same month.
The tunes you hear from NEEK are created by GV Prakash. These melodies are being shared through Red Giant Movies. Some songs from the upcoming film have already been shared, and these tracks are receiving great responses from music enthusiasts and fans alike.
In a different vein, there’s another blossoming romance drama called “Dragon.” This movie was penned by Pradeep Ranganathan and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. Interestingly, Ranganathan stars as the main character in this light-hearted production himself.
In April 2024, the initial announcement for this project was made, but filming didn’t start until the next month. Similar to NEEK, Dragon explores themes of love and heartaches experienced by today’s youth, who are still learning about the intricacies of relationships and determining what might be deal-breakers.
Dragon is produced by AGS Entertainment while its music has been composed by Leon James.
